Aerosmith’s iconic drummer Joey Kramer‘s beloved wife Linda Kramer died on June 22 at the age of 55, which made her family, friends, and especially her husband devastated. There hasn’t been any official announcement or statement from the famous musician yet except for her obituary.
Shortly before his wife’s tragic death, the rest of the band announced that Kramer decided to take a break for a while to spend more time with his family. This news didn’t shock the longtime fans due to the previous legal battle and personal problems between the drummer and band. Then, their technician John Douglas, who had served as a drummer during Kramer’s injury, replaced him as a part of Aerosmith’s new concerts.
However, Kramer didn’t share details about the main reasons behind his temporary leaving the band for an uncertain time. Following Linda’s recent and sudden death, it became evident that Kramer wanted to spend more time with his wife, probably because of a severe medical condition or disease. The drummer has been mourning and won’t be ready to open up about losing Linda Kramer soon.
Furthermore, Linda, a contract administrator for Hewitt Packard, and Aerosmith’s Joey Kramer tied the knot in 2009 and pursued a passionate relationship for which they can be called soulmates. In addition, she shared a tweet to celebrate her husband’s birthday one day before she died. Linda Kramer defined him as the love of her life, which turned into a bittersweet post after her tragic passing.
Linda’s tweet read:
“Happy Birthday to the love of my life! You are the most amazing man with the biggest heart I know. I love you, my sweet boy.”
