Nikki Sixx Breaks Silence About Vince Neil Using A Teleprompter

Nikki Sixx of Motley Crüe used his official Twitter account to support bandmate Vince Neil, who has garnered attention for using a teleprompter during a recent performance. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Stadium Tour featuring Motley Crüe, Def Leppard, Joan Jett, and Poison has been postponed several times. Since 16 June 2022, when the tour kicked off in Cumberland, Georgia, the bands have been on the road. On September 9, the long-awaited tour will conclude with a performance in Las Vegas.

Following Motley Crüe’s performance at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri, on July 5, as part of their tour, a concertgoer uploaded footage of Vince Neil using a teleprompter to remember the song lyrics to YouTube. While some fans criticized the singer for forgetting the classic songs, Neil received the most support from rockers who didn’t make a big deal out of it. Indeed, they criticized the media for portraying it as significant news.

Nikki Sixx reacted to news about his bandmate in a recent tweet. The bassist harshly criticized the media for creating clickbait articles to garner more attention. Then, he provided Vince Neil with tremendous support and praised him for his dedication to his vocals and lyrics delivery. Sixx also disclosed that the singer has been putting in extra effort on this tour in order to deliver his best performance in front of the audience.

The text of Nikki Sixx’s tweet read: “Usual low-quality media outlets are fabricating nonsense to sell their advertising. Vinnie is working on his vocals and delivery of the lyrics after 41 years of songs. I commend his extra effort during this tour. Journalists are typically scum who fabricate clickbait.” You can view the tweet and video clips from the most recent Motley Crüe concert below.
