Nikki Sixx Shares The Only Time He Listens To Mötley Crüe Songs

Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx recently spoke about the only time he listens to Crüe songs on YouTube and stated that rock and roll music is embarrassing.

Nikki Sixx has been updating Mötley Crüe fans on their upcoming ‘Stadium Tour‘ rehearsals featuring Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jett. The rehearsals have been going well, and the tickets have been on sale for a while now. The fans cannot wait for the tour to begin, but they will get what they want on June 18. The band is also quite excited and has been preparing themselves because they haven’t played together in nine years.

Even though they were rusty at playing together, the rehearsal has been going very well, per Sixx’s updates. According to his recent tweet, the bassist has been listening to many Mötley Crüe material during the warm-ups. Getting ready for shows is the only time he listens to Crüe songs and watches their videos via YouTube.

The rocker stated that he looked through old videos recently, which were all embarrassing. He continued to say that rock and roll should be ridiculous and outrageous as well as rude and loud. Rock and roll music is about rebelling against each other. Mötley Crüe is known to have lived and reflected this rebellious rock and roll lifestyle quite well in their peak years.

Here are Sixx’s words about listening to Crüe:

“It’s funny, the only time I ever really dig down and listen to Mötley Crüe is as we’re putting together a show; you go through the albums and stuff like that. I dug into YouTube and was looking at some of the old videos, and I guess it could all be considered embarrassing because rock’n’roll is embarrassing, as it should be. We should be ridiculous, we should be outrageous, we should be pushing envelopes, and we should be rebelling against each other. We’re supposed to be loud and rude and in-your-face.”
